Windows Server in the cloud, from Buenos Aires
A Cloud VPS with the 2025 or 2022 release of Windows Server, which you reach as Administrator from anywhere. For your business software, a SQL Server database, .NET applications or a workstation that has to stay on all the time.
The server is installed in Microsoft’s evaluation mode, fully functional for 180 days. Before it runs out you need to activate a Windows Server license of your own. If you still need one, ask us before ordering.

Open an RDP session from Windows, Mac, Linux or your phone, and work on the server as if it sat in your office.

Memory so Windows can breathe
Windows Server uses a lot more RAM than a Linux distribution. With 4 GB your applications have headroom, and if they run short, add memory without reinstalling.
Reboot and resources in the panel
From the panel you reboot, power off or power on the VPS and see its usage. If a Windows Firewall rule cut off Remote Desktop, open a ticket and we help you get back in.

First steps with your Windows VPS
Choose the version
The cart opens with Windows Server 2025 selected. If your software needs 2022, switch it before paying.
Open Remote Desktop
From Windows, with the details from the welcome email:
mstsc /v:TU_IPMove from evaluation to a full license
With your product key, from PowerShell run as Administrator. When it finishes, the server restarts:

Does the price include a Windows license?
Not for good: the server starts on the evaluation edition, which Microsoft enables for 180 days. After that you need to activate a Windows Server license of your own. No license yet? Get in touch before buying.
Is a VM2 enough?
Windows Server boots on a VM2, but 2 GB of RAM leaves very little for your programs. That is why we suggest starting on the VM4 (4 GB of RAM, 4 vCPU) and scaling up from there if needed.
Which devices can I connect from?
Any device with an RDP client: Windows has one built in, and Microsoft publishes official apps for macOS, iOS and Android. If a firewall rule locks you out, open a ticket.
Can several users log in at once?
Windows Server allows two simultaneous administrative sessions without extra licenses. For more people working at once you need Remote Desktop Services client access licenses (RDS CALs), obtained from Microsoft or your software vendor.
How much is the Windows VPS?
The VM4 costs US$36 a month, final price. The evaluation edition costs nothing; what the permanent license costs depends on which one you activate.
